AGM 2008 Outcomes

The Sea Wolves AGM was held on Tuesday 27th May.

Turn-out was high and members heard very positive reports from Executive on the year just gone, not the least being the completion of the Compressor trailer (Thanks, to all of those involved!), the significant growth in Club funds (Thanks to you all!) and club membership (Thanks, Whisky!). The only down-side were frustrating delays in the Clubrooms Project and Admiralty Anchor Project, due largely to circumstances beyond our control.

Dave Davies (Brutus) moved a vote of thanks to the out-going Committee and elections for the new Committee were held with the following results:

The 3 Executive members President, Rankin McCrone (Ranks)
Treasurer, Tim Scutter (ToeJam) and
Secretary, Kevin Newton (Dr Hook)
accepted re-nomination and were elected unopposed.

Of the remaining Committee members, Colin Paice (Paicey), Neil Pascoe (Fingers) and Graham Syme (Gra-Ham) volunteered to stand down, to encourage new people to stand.

A very healthy list of candidates accepted nomination for the remaining seats and
John Wood (Johnno)
Wolf Siedel and
Ryan Miller (Ryno)
were re-elected and new members
Steve Fry (Camel)
Steve McInnes (Whisky Mac) and
Arthur Pridham (Chewie)
were also elected.

The new Committee will appoint a Clubrooms Sub-Committee to drive the development project and also need to consider other special roles (eg: Equipment Officer).
With the Clubrooms and Anchor Projects and the need for planning additional fund-raising and leisure activities, the year to come promises to be a busy one for the new Committee and an exciting time for the Club as a whole!
