The second annual Seawolves Shooting Fest was held at Target Rifle South Australia Inc shooting range in Wingfield on Sunday 6th July 2008.
We shot air rifles (sitting down, because standing up was a bit wobbly!) in the indoor range to a distance of 10 metres, and also 22 rifles - proper guns with bullets! We were indoors for this, but the targets were outside, to a distance of 50 metres – these rifles were set on tables and balanced on bean bags for support.
The arrangement was to meet at the Caltex Service station for a 7am departure, Pete and I arrived at the servo at about 6.30am followed by big Ben. Not many others arrived on time which really did not surprise me that much. By 7.10 we were still waiting for several others to arrive. All hell broke loose when the rest of the Seawolves arrived and with out warning 4WDs started going in all directions, some shot off for fuel “why was it not done the night before?” others headed for fuel at Dublin and others to buy vegetables.
09.00 April 19th saw members of the club waiting for their president to start their motor bike ride through the Adelaide Hills to Gladstone where they were going to spend the night behind bars in the Gladstone gaol.
SEAWOLVES dive TRUK LAGOON
29th March – 9th April 2007

Thursday 29th March arrived and in various groups and by different airlines we met at Cairns airport. As we had a fair amount of time to kill before our midnight flight to Guam so we headed to the Cairns colonial club which was to be our return accommodation and sat by the pool and knocked back a few beers.
The Sea Wolves made its usual pilgrimage to Cape Jaffa for Easter, to get amongst the huge Cray the area has to offer. BJ had organised a great social program including a Bali Food night (courtesy of his neighbours, Gading and his lovely wife Kay – prospective new members) and novelty Cray competitions (not quite matching the Kingston Fishing Comp, which had $23,000 in prizes).
Although we had been in Australia for 15 months, the Seawolves trip to Queenscliff was our first adventure outside of South Australia.
The coach trip (in Dennis' bus) took us ELEVEN HOURS! That may not sound a long time to “proper” Aussies, but when you think that in that time we could have driven the entire length of England and some way into Scotland (and seen lots whilst travelling), it may be easier to understand our amazement.
Sea wolves members on trip: Neil (Toes) Stokes, Gordon (bypass) Penner, Rankin (ramikan) McCrone,
Steve (chalky) Gordon, Graham (Gray-ham) Syme, Cleve (muss) Nicolle
In various groups and by 3 different airlines we left Adelaide and arrived in Brisbane on Friday 26th October. We all met up at the airways motel where we stayed overnight.
Saturday 27th October we headed to the Brisbane international airport to catch the 10am Air Niugini flight to Port Moresby. The Flight had been delayed; this was a sign of things to come with this airline.
