Went diving yesterday at Stanvac Block and The Dump. It is pleasing to see that there is new growth on the structures at both sites.
Stanvac Block and the The Dump were both almost completely devoid of growth on their structures a few weeks ago and very little in the way of marine life. It was good to see that fish are returning and even a nudibranch was seen at the Dump. Many of the species that used to inhabit both sites have returned however they are in very small numbers compared to pre algae.
Both dives were really good thanks to Whiskey, Dong and Theresa.
Water clarity was good at both sites with vis about 10 meters and water temp 22c.
Below are several phots taken at both sites which show the gradual improvement in conditions.
