This morning we unveiled the plaque for the Admiralty Anchor that was recovered and restored by the Sea Wolves Dive Club. Donated to the City of Onkaparinga it is now proudly located at the entrance of the Port Noarlunga Surf Lifesaving Club.
The day began with a morning dive of the Port Noarlunga reef at 8am with the official unveiling conducted at 10am. Officiated by Mark Polzer (Senior Maritime Heritage Officer) Helena Wescome-Down (President SDFSA ) and Moira Ware AM Mayor of City of Onkaparinga.
A celebratory lunch at Mamma Carmela followed. Thank you to everyone that has been involved from the raising, restoration and preparation for display, including seeking grants and approvals.
